Sherry Tang has been licensed in California since 2004. Her practice focuses on matters regarding business-related as well as family-related immigration, corporate law, contract law, and international business transactions.


Before Ms. Tang came to the United States, she finished her undergraduate education and obtained her LL.B. from South-Central University of Political Science and Law, one of the top ten law schools in P. R. China. After she came to the U.S., she continued her legal education and obtained her J.D. from University of Connecticut School of Law. While at UConn School of Law, she received the CALI Excellence Awards for class performance in "Alternative Dispute Resolution" and "Uniform Commercial Code". She also served as the President of UConn Asian American Law Students Association, 2002-2003. In addition, she worked as Research Assistant for Professor Phillip Blumberg, Dean and Professor of Law and Business, Emeritus, on updating the multi-volume treatise on Law of Corporate Groups, which created and defined this field regarding parent-subsidiary relationship. Moreover, she interned for senior attorneys at St. Paul Travelers Insurance Companies, Brown, Paindiris & Scott, LLP, and General Electric Company Headquarters, Mergers & Acquisitions Section.


After graduation from UConn School of Law, Ms. Tang moved to California and worked as the Legal Intern at California Attorney General's Office in Sacramento. She was licensed in 2004, and has worked for different bay area firms as Associate Attorney on over 50 immigration cases including various kinds of non-immigrant and immigrant visas, such as H-1B, L-1, F, J, O, P, R, B, E, TN, EB-1, NIW, PERM, Labor Certificate, Investors' Visa, K-1, K-3, I-130/I-485 one-step, etc., as well as Naturalization and immigration court appearances. In addition, she also worked on certain Corporate Law, Contract Law and Civil Law matters, such as incorporation, commercial contract, civil litigation, etc.
